Kinetics, process design and implementation of zwitterionic adsorbent coating for dipolar dyes removal in wastewater 

The zwitterionic adsorbent coating was synthesized using a facile technique and formulation.  The scale-up of this formulation was proved to show that this coating adsorbent is viable to be adopted in large-scale production. This adsorbent are ready to be applied for the adsorption of both cationic and anionic pollutants from wastewater. Besides, this new adsorbent is aim for easy handling and maintenance.

Feasible and economical treatment of real hand-drawn batik/textile effluent using zwitterionic adsorbent coating

Adsorbent-based coating with zwitterionic functionality (ZwitAd) was employed to treat heavily polluted hand-drawn batik and textile effluent. The formulated adsorbent was coated onto a cotton cloth using simple application method. This new innovative treatment shows various advantages e.g.  simultaneously improve the effluent treatment quality and minimise operational costs, and reduce secondary waste formation.
